Crafted from durable polyester, these bags, except the envelope, feature a see-through mesh lining at the top, making it easy to spot what's inside. They've also got customizable organization labels, although I left mine blank for trip-to-trip versatility. The zippers are impressively sturdy and glide smoothly. Additionally, each bag has a handy back zipper pocket for small items or dirty laundry, adding a stylish touch to the set.

Calpak Packing Cubes (5-Piece Set) Review
I bought a cheap pair of packing cubes from Amazon years ago and decided to uplevel my packing game to match a colorful water bottle sling I already owned from Calpak.
The following is a review of Calpak’s Packing Cubes 5-Piece Set in the color Retro Sunset.
First Impressions
Just like you'd expect from Calpak, my packing cubes arrived all neat and tidy, accompanied by some cool marketing materials showcasing their latest luggage gear. Once I opened them up, I couldn't help but adore the funky print on each cube. What's even better is that each cube comes with a handle, except for the waterproof envelope pouch. With a bunch of trips on my horizon, I couldn't wait to see how these babies perform in action.
Quality of Materials
Crafted from durable polyester, all the bags, except for the envelope, feature a breathable mesh lining at the top, making it easy to see what's inside each one. They've even included handy organization labels that you can slide out and customize to indicate the contents of each packing cube. I decided to keep mine blank since I mix things up for every trip, but having that option was a nice touch. Plus, the zippers felt super sturdy and zipped up effortlessly. Adding a stylish twist to the mix, each bag also comes equipped with a handy zipper pocket on the back, perfect for stashing small items or even your dirty laundry.
Packing Cube Size and Features
This packing cube set comes with 5 bags in total. Here’s how I organized mine:
Water-resistant envelope: Perfect for toiletries or smaller travel essentials. I ended up using this bag to store my makeup.
Small packing cubes (2): I used one to store my underwear, socks, and swimsuit, and the other held my travel tank tops and workout outfits.
Medium packing cube: This cube was the perfect size to fit all of my shorts, t-shirts, dresses, and travel skirts.
Large packing cube: This one is big. You probably won’t use this one unless you’re checking a bag. On my trip to South Africa, I used this bag to hold my heavier clothing items like jeans, sweatshirts, and jackets.
Overall Design
Calpak really covered all the bases when they designed this packing cube set – it's sturdy, practical, and comes with all those handy extras like a top handle and those nifty organization labels. Plus, the best part is they offer a bunch of cool colors and prints, from Modern Abstract to Groovy Blue, alongside classic options like tan and black. So, you're basically getting everything you need in one go – no need to look elsewhere!
Value for Money
At $68, it might seem a tad pricier than what you'd stumble upon on Amazon. But the beauty of it is that they've got you covered for all types of trips – whether you're going carry-on or checking in a suitcase. It's a one-time investment that will give you trusty travel companions for countless journeys ahead.
The Bottom Line
Calpak really nailed it with their 5-Piece Packing Cubes Set. They've got a ton of colors, handy organization labels, top handles, and even a water-resistant pouch. If you're in the market for new packing cubes, I'd 100% vouch for this set. And the best part? You can even coordinate them with your checked luggage, carry-on, or travel backpack because they offer matching colors and patterns across their entire luggage range. How’s that for a win-win?
